Habitat Destruction: Why Is It A Serious Threat

Habitat Destruction: Why Is It A Serious Threat

Our Planet Earth is a very precious planet. Moreover, it is the only planet in the Solar System, which has life in it. Therefore, we should be happy and thank planet earth for our survival. We, as human beings are the most intelligent species on this planet earth. Therefore, while other animals and plants adjust to the earth surroundings for their life, we change the conditions of the earth for our comfortable life. However, this adjustment has led to severe habitat destruction.  Moreover, so much so is the habitat destruction done by humans, that the future of earth remains in danger. Therefore, the future of humans, as well as other plants and animals, also remain in extreme danger. This is because we haven’t found any different planet for our survival.

What Is Habitat Destruction

Habitat is the ecosystem we live in. Moreover, habitat is the definition of all plants, animals, and humans living under a particular environmental zone. Therefore, there are thousands of habitats in this planet world. One of the exciting yet sad facts is that the habitat is never under the threat of destruction for millions of years. However, in the past hundred years or so, we human beings have made massive habitat destruction. Especially after the era of industrialization, we as human beings have gone rogue with the planet earth. In just a span of over a hundred years, several species of plants and animals have become extinct just because of the activities of human beings.

Let us look at why Habitat Destruction is such a severe issue.

Habitat Destruction Will Lead Loss Of Polar Ice Caps

Due to the habitat destruction by humans for several years, global warming is on rampant. So much, so that significant ice caps are melting continuously and rapidly for decades. However, if wee does not stop further destruction, in all likelihood, all ice caps will melt in 50 years. Moreover, the melting of all ice caps will be disastrous. Sea level will rise drastically leading major coastal areas under permanently underwater.  Moreover, all animals living in the ice regions like the penguin and the polar bear will have mass extinction. Thereby, further, disturbing the ecosystem.

More Health Disease In Humans

If we continuedestruction in the same way as today, very soon the majority of human beings will remain unhealthy. Moreover, further habitat destruction will mean more pollution of air, water, soil, and land. Thereby, most human beings will not have access to fresh air, water, or even food. Therefore, it leads to severe disease in the life of human beings. Moreover, the majority of the disease will be genetic and deadly by transforming from generation to generations.

Possible Extinction Of Earth

The rate of Habitat destruction is such that very soon we may face the destruction of Earth. Moreover, due to global warming by human cause, the atmosphere is on a decreasing level. Once the atmosphere gets depleted, the earth will be in direct contact with the harmful radiation of the sun. Therefore, none of us can save life on the planet.
